High Fire

High Fire clay refers to clay that is formulated to withstand temperatures higher than 2250 degrees Fahrenheit or cone 7-10.  Our high fire clay are meant to be used in cone 10 electric, gas reduction, soda/salt, or wood firing.  Though some clay manufactures suggest the use of cone 10 clay at cone 6, we do not recommend it due to the nature of the vitrification of the clay and absorption of water at cone 6 compared to cone 10.
