Workshop with Heidi McKay Casto

Ceramics Monthly 2022 Emerging Artist, Heidi McKay Casto is a graduate of Ohio State University BFA and the University of Iowa MFA.  Heidi will share her functional construction techniques of wheel thrown, handbuilt altered porcelain vessels and bowls that are playfully decorated using underglaze to illustrate vibrant animal portraits portraying life as a mother.  Learn how to use, care and decorate bisque or leather hard work with  underglaze applicators.  Heidi is originally from the Dayton area, and currently resides in Iowa with her family while teaching drawing classes at the University of Iowa as a Visiting Assistant Professor.

All materials included.  

Lunch is ordered from Warehouse 4 down so bring cash, or you can pack your own. There are also a dozen more restaurants and fast food near our shop.   

Many hotels in the area if you are coming from out of state.  Fly into Dayton International Airport.
