The Standard 112 Speckled Brown Clay is a plastic clay for wheel throwing and handbuilding. Manganese gives off speckling surface. This clay delivers beautiful results in both oxidation and reduction. Image shows clay in Cone 6 oxidation. Please note that these speckles will show through many glazes, which creates a very pleasant and variegated effect.
Shrinkage: 12% at C/4, 12.5% at C/6.
Absorption: 4.5% at C/4, 2.5% at C/6.
